The Name
Why “Boyce”?
One previous student who attended Rolph Street Public School in the late 1950's, starting in Grade 7 with Mr. Boyce as her teacher, remarked that when she first saw the school from the outside she thought "Wow..I get to go to school in a palace. " Mr. Boyce had a short but impactful term as a teacher from 1959-1967.
