The Name
Why “Kelly”?
Kerene Kelly served as a teacher at Rolph Street Public School from 1955-1975 and taught in the classroom that use to be in this location. She is remembered fondly by her students with one student recounting "Kerene Kelly had such a positive impact on me and my family that I ended up naming my daughter after her.”
